Maths for bioscience

A simple approach to solving maths problems

Learn about a simple, three-step approach to solving mathematical problems in bioscience.

The steps are:

  1. Define the problem - what are you being asked to find?
  2. Identify the relevant information - what figures and formulae will you need to solve the question? What can be ignored?
  3. Apply the mathematical technique - doing the calculations.

Taking a calm, systematic approach to problem-solving often helps reduce any worries or overwhelm when solving maths problems.
