Theses are not always available on request, for a variety of reasons.
The author might place an embargo if the thesis is likely to be published as a book or the content might be confidential, sensitive or have commercial potential.
You can request theses through interlibrary loan.
When a thesis is not available for loan, but a copy can be made, the UniSC Library will decide whether the thesis would be relevant for our collection.
If so, the Library will purchase the thesis and it will be included in the Library collection.
If not, you will be advised that purchase is possible, but the Library will not bear the costs.
There are many library catalogues and indexes for collections of theses, offering full text, partial preview, abstracts or citations.
