DIY Games for Non-Hackers

Games for learning

I am not a programmer nor a gamer.  However, I am passionate about helping others learn.

Did you know that you can create a game today?

Game Theory

The main difference between games and other activities is that there are rules and rewards.

The game may have different levels, and it may be single player or multi-player, but as the game progresses it generally becomes more challenging.

The key is to achieve flow – where the player’s ability matches the level of difficulty, and then you level-up.

Flow (psychology) was identified by Mihaly Csikszentmihályi in 1975 and can be applied to many situations (e.g. sport, work, music, education)
