Our library provides UniSC Higher Degree by Research (HDR) students with copyright support and advice.
As an HDR student, copyright is very different to undergraduate or coursework studies and we strongly recommend you allow time to develop your understanding of copyright, as this will be beneficial for your research and publishing in your future career.
There are things you need to know about obtaining copyright permissions for use of third-party content in your thesis. You should also be aware of ownership of copyright and be familiar with UniSC's Intellectual Property - Governing Policy.
More information and resources are provided in the Student Portal in the Graduate Research section, and then the 'Library Support for HDRs' section. In particular, we strongly recommend you watch the 'HDR and Copyright' video as this provides essential copyright information related to being an HDR student at UniSC.
If you have questions about copyright, you can contact your supervisor or the Copyright and Open Scholarship Officer by emailing copyright@usc.edu.au.
There are also useful information sheets that you can refer to from the Australian Copyright Council:
