Kanopy how to: Embed playlists and clips in Blackboard

1. In Kanopy, open your playlist (see About Clips page for instructions)

2. Select Embed and copy the code

3. Log into Blackboard and navigate to the required section.

4. In Edit for the page, ensure you have all the edit options available by clicking on the Show More button.

5. Work out where you want to embed the video, then click on the HTML button.

6.Look at the code, then copy and paste the embed code into the document.

7. Click Update.

8. Click Submit. Turn the Edit Mode to Off to preview the video.

1. Register for an account in Alexander Street Press.

2. Select a video, then Add to Playlist. Open your Playlist (see About Clips page for instructions)

4. Select Embed/Link and copy the code.

Below is an example of code that would be copied:

6. In Edit for the page, ensure you have all the edit options available by clicking on the Show More button.

7. Work out where you want to embed the video, then click on the HTML button.

8.Look at the code, then copy and paste the embed code into the document.

9. Click Update.

10. Click Submit.

The main reasons a video doesn't play properly are:

Your computer settings may be incompatible with our system requirements. Check that you have cookies enabled in your browser and empty your cache periodically.
If you are off-campus, an organisational firewall may be preventing the video from playing. Contact your organisation's IT staff for help.
