NAPLAN National Reports NAPLAN results are reported in a number of ways, including national results, individual student reports and school-level reporting on the My School website. NAPLAN tests are not pass/fail assessments. Since 2023, NAPLAN results are reported against proficiency standards, with student achievement shown against 4 levels of proficiency. There is a standard for each assessment area at each year level. These replace the previous numerical NAPLAN bands and national minimum standards. NAPLAN national results are provided in an interactive online report that includes results at each year level and domain by state/territory and nationally, by gender, Indigeneity, language background other than English status, parental occupation, parental education, and remoteness.

ACARA works with states and territories to analyse this unique data set – allowing us to see how students have progressed in the important areas of literacy and numeracy across the years of schooling.

Prior to 2023, NAPLAN national results were released as a national report in PDF format. The NAPLAN technical report continues to be provided as a PDF. Technical reports and past national reports are available at the bottom of this page.

National Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Early Childhood Strategy
The Strategy focusses on priority areas of education, health, workforce, safety, housing, disability and cultural connection. This is a national strategy that aims to align and coordinate cross‑portfolio effort across the whole-of-government and the early childhood systems and sectors.

This report reviews several economic aspects of Australia’s failure to both allocate sufficient economic resources to ECEC services, and to ensure that those resources are used to provide the best-quality services possible. Ample evidence documents widespread quality failures among private for-profit providers of (publicly-subsidised) ECEC services.
My Time, Our Place
National approved learning framework under the NQF for school age children. The learning framework outline principles, practices and learning outcomes that guide educational leaders and educators in their curriculum decision-making, and assist them in planning, delivering and evaluating quality programs in early childhood and school age settings.

Overton is an international, searchable policy database that meet the grey literature criteria for Cochrane and PRISMA systematic review protocols. Consisting of full-text and indexed links to policy documents, this is a key database for measuring research performance.
