This session is concerned law and ethics and the Australian Legal System. As with other weeks, you will have some basic information provided about:
- System of governance
- Business Law: (negligence) torts, business associations (corporate governance, corporate liability, corporate finance, external administration), contract, consumer; and
- Business Ethics
We will demonstrate, in the tutorial, how to use the ASX Council's Corporate Governance Principles to assess your chosen company's performance, and you may investigate the company's track record for litigation (as claimant and/or defendant) if you like. Be sure to use only credible sources to support your claims (and to avoid litigation yourself!).
