The main function of the Commission is to keep under review the law applicable to Queensland with a view to its systematic development and reform and generally the simplification and modernisation of the law.

Native title service provider for the southern half of Queensland.

Aims to preserve, protect and promote the recognition of Native Title in the North Queensland region.

Queensland Government - provides information on titles and valuations, native title and indigenous lands and vegetation management.

Currently (2014) Queensland's property laws are under review.

IP Australia is the federal government agency that grants rights in patents, trademarks, designs, and plant breeders' rights. This site includes information about intellectual property, as well as searchable databases of patents, designs and trademarks. It also has a comprehensive list of links to Australian and international sites related to intellectual property.

The Attorney-General - Department of Justice - administers the Property Law Act 1958 (Vic) except in so far as it relates to the management of the Office of the Registrar-General and the Land Titles Office.

The Commission's Review of the Property Law Act 1958: Final Report was tabled on 29 October 2010.
The Commission's Easements and Covenants: Final Report was tabled in Parliament on 3 May 2011.

The National Native Title Tribunal (“Tribunal”) is an impartial, independent administrative agency. Established by the Native Title Act 1993 (Cth) (“NTA”), the Tribunal came into operation in January 1994. In addition the Native Title Registrar of the Tribunal (“Registrar”) is responsible, among other things, for making administrative decisions about the registration of claimant applications and indigenous land use agreements.

Provides an overview of the development and administration of native title law in Australia.

The two specific areas to be considered by the commission in this inquiry are:
(i) connection requirements relating to the recognition and scope of native title rights and interests, and
(ii) any barriers imposed by the Act’s authorisation and joinder provisions to claimants’, potential claimants’ and respondents’ access to justice.
The commission is due to report by March 2015.

The Personal Property Securities (Commonwealth Powers) Act 2009 (NSW) is administered by the Attorney General - Department of Attorney General and Justice and the Minister for Finance and Services/Minister for Fair Trading - Department of Finance and Services.

The New South Wales Law Reform Commission began operation in 1966, and was formally created by statute in 1967, as the first permanent body in Australia charged with the task of proposing changes to the general law.
