The AAT provides independent review of a wide range of administrative decisions made by the Australian Government and some non-government agencies.

The Attorney-General has policy responsibility for administrative law. This includes oversight of the Administrative Appeals Tribunal and legislative instruments.

NTCAT was formed in 2014.

The Workers Rehabilitation and Compensation Tribunal is one of 3 major tribunals in Tasmania.

The Tribunal hears appeals under a number of Tasmanian Acts.

The Commission's role is predominately related to the Tasmanian State Service and one of the major roles is to conciliate and arbitrate to resolve industrial disputes, including claims of unfair dismissal.
