Learning to learn

This course is in 4 modules. Module 1 has three sessions and you will build some basic study technique.

  • Session 1: 'how we do business' (at USC)
  • Session 2: Project Management, and how we can use for assessments and study
  • Session 3: Entrepreneurship, and where it fits in business

In this week of networking and finding out what you need to successfully complete this course, it is also a good time to become, or be re-acquainted with, your USC Library.

The librarians on the Research Help Desk at USC Sunshine Coast, USC Gympie, USC Caboolture, USC Fraser Coast, and USC Moreton Bay are experienced and ready to help you learn how to find relevant, current, and academic sources.

The below sub-pages cover instructions on how to locate books and journals, as well as how to evaluate sources. These are the types of skills you will need to locate information for your assessment tasks, as well as any other information needs you may have both in your studies and real life.

TIPS & TRICKS:

  • If you can work these lessons during the first three weeks and then use them as reference material throughout the semester, you will be best prepared for Tasks 2 and 3, and your future undergraduate business studies.
  • When you think you are ready to test yourself, take a few minutes to 'Play the Scholarly Article Game'
